Confidentiality and Data Protection policies

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is my top priority. I will treat all information you share with me, including messages and Client Materials, as strictly confidential (“Confidential Information”), just as I would if I were still on the frontline.

I agree to:

• Use Confidential Information only to perform the agreed Service.
• Not to disclose or share it with third parties without your prior written permission.
• Safeguard Confidential Information using at least the same care as I do for my own confidential materials.
• Keep it secure in both physical and digital formats.
• Not copy, record, or reproduce it unless strictly necessary for the service.
• Never input the Client Materials into any artificial intelligence (AI) or machine translation tools, including any free or paid versions of such tools, unless otherwise agreed.

I will only share confidential information if required by a court order or legal obligation, including requests from my insurer.

Confidential information does not include:

• Information I already knew before this Agreement,
• Information that becomes public, or
• Information I receive through other means unrelated to the Service.

These confidentiality obligations apply even after this Agreement ends.

Data Protection

I comply with UK and EU GDPR legislation, as well as US Data Protection laws and HIPAA, when handling your personal data.

Any personal data shared under this Agreement will be used only to deliver the agreed Services and for insurance purposes, and will be handled responsibly.

Both you and I will take reasonable steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. We will not share it with third parties unless required by law or with written consent from the other party.

If changes to data protection laws mean either of us can no longer comply with our obligations under this Agreement, we will work together to update the Agreement to ensure compliance.
