ABOUT ME
Avellana Translations is run by Hazel Hayman, a trained nurse, writer, Spanish and Catalan to English translator, and terminologist.
I have been equally passionate about language and medicine since I was a teenager, having spent my entire life training and working in both areas simultaneously. Dating as far back as 1997 when I took a Basic First Aid Course and began volunteering for the British Red Cross. I studied for A levels in the sciences and Spanish, with dreams of one day becoming a healthcare professional in Spain. However, I soon realised that my passion lies working behind the scenes, supporting those working on the front lines of healthcare and research by freeing you up from the jobs you hate, such as writing articles, research, producing written content, so that you can get back to doing what you love and what we are all here for – caring for our patients.
